Alex S. Veley
Consultant — IT systems, networking and technical operations
I step into messy environments, make networks and operations legible, and leave behind teams and runbooks that do not depend on heroics. For stack notes and longer write-ups, see Insights; for full career context, see the curriculum vitae.
Based in Rincon, Georgia (Savannah metro) · comfortable working remotely with English-speaking teams worldwide.

Summary
IT leader with 10+ years across network administration, systems management, security-minded operations, and people leadership—including a multi-year stretch as a senior peer to ownership focused on business growth and development across a nationwide technical services organization. Recent client-facing work includes nationwide multi-site deployments, Tier-2 escalation for routing and DNS, and building the documentation and QA habits that keep rollouts repeatable.
I like the same things in consulting that I liked in-house: small, verifiable changes, honest timelines, and infrastructure teammates can reason about months later.

-
- Founded EasyGoinGaming after a short transition from prior employment: integration-heavy, self-hosted game infrastructure with monetized cross-title benefits where cost and scale matter.
- Extending the same philosophy under EasyGoin Technologies LLC—hosting, productions, IT, and services—with emphasis on open-source-aware stacks, sustainable self-hosting, and client education over perpetual upsell.
- Network-scale integration for larger organizations alongside sibling EasyGoin brands (hosting, services, IT, productions).
-
- Coordinated nationwide network deployments with field technicians—switches, firewalls, access points, routers, and ISP handoffs.
- Built standardized configuration and deployment workflows for consistency across high-volume rollouts.
- Tier-2 escalation for routing, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, and connectivity; improved QA and documentation throughput alongside scheduling and cross-team coordination.
- Warehouse support: imaging, staging, testing, and RMA processing. Contract completed successfully when the program ended.
-
- Senior peer to ownership: nationwide remit across three offices blending recovery engineering and sales—focused on partnerships, contract origination, and channel expansion.
- GSA / public sector — re-enabled and advanced the company’s GSA posture; federal pipeline and SAM.gov work alongside growth programs.
- Outbound & research — cold email, cold calling, direct mail, and other low-capital experiments; market research for higher-investment campaigns (some paths not authorized for spend when presented).
- Line management — direct oversight across multiple departments (engineering and case-management groups—on the order of fifteen contributors at peak) while carrying a heavy individual sales and project workload.
- Cloud, network & CRM — where initiatives were funded, supported network modernization, AWS and Azure scaling, and CRM integration for pipeline visibility.

-
- Supervised and trained a repair team; launched computer repair services with a measurable revenue lift.
- Reduced operational costs through vendor and supply-chain improvements; owned router/firewall work and MDM rollouts.
-
- Ran high-volume technical case workflows with strong data-handling discipline; partnered with network engineers on integrity during recovery.
- Translated complex technical findings into clear client communications; exposure from consumer recoveries through litigation-adjacent digital forensics under counsel direction (operational chain-of-custody—not legal practice).
-
- Diagnostics, imaging, malware remediation, hardware replacement; trained juniors and handled lead escalations.
- Authored or co-authored a documented virus-removal protocol; trained peers on services and hardware upsell paths; occasional trusted onsite residential and small-business visits.

Hands-on
Projects & lab
I maintain a serious home lab (Proxmox, OPNsense, Pi-hole, Docker/Portainer, MariaDB, Redis, WordPress, Pterodactyl, and friends) so ideas get tested before they touch production budgets.
Product-wise, I lead development on the EGL (EasyGoin Loyalty) platform—a modular WordPress/PHP suite for game-server monetization, automation, and account flows—alongside self-hosted game infrastructure where cost and scale actually matter.
